What’s new
Fixed Enter no longer inserting a newline in chats (Mistral's "Vibe" UI update broke it on both software and hardware keyboards). Fixed the voice input bar pushing the send button off-screen in languages with long labels (e.g. German).
Quick answer
WebView wrapper for Mistral Le Chat with URL blocking and privacy features
F-Droid repository metadata
Assistral is a simple WebView wrapper for Mistral Le Chat. It blocks all URLs which are not essential for functioning.
Features: • Secure WebView wrapper for Mistral's Le Chat AI assistant • URL blocking to prevent tracking and unnecessary requests • Toggle button to switch between restricted and unrestricted mode • Support for file uploads and downloads • Voice input support for conversations • Clean, minimal interface focused on the chat experience
The app does not support login via Apple, Microsoft, or Google account - please use a web browser for initial sign up if needed.
You can switch URL blocking on/off by clicking the button at the top right. Swipe up a bit to hide the button for a cleaner view.
This app provides a focused, privacy-conscious way to access Mistral's powerful AI chat interface without the distractions and tracking of a full web browser.
How to install
- Download the APK from the button at the top of this page.
- Allow “Install unknown apps” for your browser or file manager only, not for every app.
- Open the downloaded file and confirm the installation.
- If installation fails with “App not installed,” remove an earlier build of the same app first. A signature conflict is the usual cause.
Data safety
- Every file is checked against its published SHA-256 before it is listed.
- Files are scanned for malware on every update.
- The permissions each app requests are listed on its own page.
- Read the full safety policy for how we test, flag, and delist files.
